Indoor cycling on Zwift or a Zwift equivalent is great, but if you are training effectively it is inevitable you are going to end up in a pool of sweat. 

If you have a smart trainer with your standard bike attached, the chain is likely to be exposed to a constant drip feed of salty sweat. The salt cuts through the oil causing the chain to oxidise.
